This is the current schedule of seasonal talks for ABKA members. All will take place at the Riddlesden Institute at 2pm on Saturday afternoons.
Talks are free for ABKA members with the exception of the Split Board workshop where a small charge is made for materials.
Do come along if you can – tea, coffee, biscuits/cake and social are all free!
Our updated schedule:
22 February 2020 Split Board Workshop with Richard Law and David Wilkinson. This session is now full for participants who have paid for and will make their own board. However, if you interested in the process you are welcome to come along and observe – for more info please contact Richard (who can also explain what a split board is used for if you don’t know!).
There will also be prepared kits and made-up split boards available for purchase on the day at £7 for kits and £13 for assembled boards.
21 March 2020 (rescheduled) Peter Hewitt, our most senior member. Peter has been beekeeping for over 70 years! His talk is entitled ‘Bee Boles and More.
25 April 2020 Steam wax extraction with Keith Hebden. Plus another topic TBC.
May tbc a talk by ABKA member, John Peet about Beekeeping in Nepal.
